Have you every realized that you are precious in God’s sight, and that He knows you by name?  Are you aware of His presence in your life and of His desire to have a personal relationship with you?  The Bible says that if you draw near to Him and receive the gift of salvation that Jesus freely offered from the cross, you will be assured of eternal life with Him.  If you desire this relationship, take a moment right where you are to invite Him into your life by praying this prayer:

“Dear Lord Jesus, I understand that I am a sinner and that nothing I can say or do on my own will ever satisfy my need for forgiveness.  I believe that you are God’s son: that you willingly came to earth to die a cruel death on my behalf, and that you rose again so I might have eternal life.  I confess my sin and ask you to forgive me.  Please come into my heart and wipe my slate clean, that I might begin a new life in you.”

Congratulations!  You have just accepted, by faith, God’s gift of salvation and acknowledged Him as Lord of your life.  John 1:12 says “Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.”  This is a verse you can now claim as God’s assurance that you are His child.  Get to know your heavenly Father by reading His word and talking to Him daily.  Find a local church and become involved.  Be active in your relationship, and expect your life to evolve into something more rewarding then you can ever hope for or even imagine.
